In this article we are going to cover How to List all trigger with SQL definition.

    Problem Statement of SQL Script:

    Get List of all trigger with SQL definition of current database.

    Description of SQL Script:

    This Transact-SQL statement list all triggers of the current database with the SQL definition for documentation on which table which triggers exists.

    ,SCH.NAME + '.' + PAR.NAME AS ParentName
    ,PAR.type_desc AS ParentType
    ,TRG.is_disabled AS IsDisabled

    ,SM.DEFINITION AS TriggerDefinition
FROM sys.triggers AS TRG
LEFT JOIN sys.objects AS PAR ON TRG.parent_id = PAR.object_id
LEFT JOIN sys.schemas AS SCH ON PAR.schema_id = SCH.schema_id
LEFT JOIN sys.sql_modules AS SM ON TRG.object_id = SM.object_id
ORDER BY ParentName
    ,TriggerName;
